I finally finished another project (yay!!), but I am not going to share it until I get the saga out of the way. What should have been a simple Sunday afternoon project (a basic skirt) turned into a two day event. And why is that? BOSCO. And to a lesser extent, GRACIE. As seen here, Bosco is addicted to fabric laid out on the floor (Seriously. He's even in the snaps of the Stars and Blocks Blanket for the niece). It's almost like giving him catnip or something. Check out the spaced out stare in the first picture. Unfortunately, I don't have a huge table to lay out my fabric when I mark and cut it. I have to use the floor. So, in addition to some carpet fuzz, I now have an angora cotton skirt. Thank you, Bosco, for rolling around like a weirdo on my fabric. Oh, I'm sorry. I meant, thank you, Bosco, for so carefully inspecting my work.
Another snag in the afternoon skirt making: I wound my bobbin and almost ran out of black thread. Of course it was a quarter to six, so Hancock was closed. I had to go the dreaded place, Wal-Mart, to pick up some more. And upping the drama some more: this town has two Wal-Marts and only one has a sewing department. Fortunately, I chose the correct one on the first try.
The skirt has been made (as stated above). I will get some snaps up ASAP, but I wanted to share the crafting process with my readers. (And yes, by "crafting process" I meant "cat-herding". Thanks to Herr Snicklefritz for his assistance.)
Wiedersehen!

Picture #3: Is that a blender on the floor in the bottom left of the picture? What is a blender doing on the floor when there are small animals on the loose in your apartment?
