This is a fleece the PIC made for me using McCall's pattern #3402.
We got the zipper, the blue, and the grey fleece at Hancock.
The pattern was a little more complicated than the pullover that the PIC made for himself a few months back, (see the old post) but the results for this fleece were quite a bit nicer too. Hard work pays off sometimes. The facing fabric inside the zipper give it a more polished look--especially when combined with the more polished sewing skills that he's developing. Good bye, ninth grade home-ec training! The PIC is growing up. He also used some light-blue flannel (left over from a Christmas present project for a certain twin sister of mine that hasn't posted pictures of it yet) to line the pocket
He made the medium sized pattern with cute double seams, and he asked me to try it on after it was nearing completion. Only then did he realize that it was about two inches too large on every side. After some frantic, or furious, or flustered, re-seaming, trimming, and muttering under his breath, he got it trimmed down to a reasonable size for me, and then he added the zipper, the hems, and the finishing touches.
We still have quite a bit of the blue and the grey fleece, and he offered to make me some cozy matching mittens, but I told him I have plenty of gloves already (additionally, it hardly gets cold enough out here to break out any mittens).

If not, maybe the PIC could make you a super awesome fleecy vest or hat.
The black fleece was meant to be a lining for the niece's Stars and Blocks blanket (see January 2008 post), but once we started putting it together, we thought it would be WAY too toasty. We ended up only using some black fleece on the border.
So, what colors would you like? :o)
