(Apologies to John Lennon and Paul McCartney.)
So these are a couple strawberry coasters I made from a plastic canvas kit I bought a long time ago (as in years ago, not just months). When I bought them, I thought they would be really cute, but I never got the chance to work on them. They made the trip from the homeland to the Eastern Shore still unfinished. *sigh* I can be a huge slacker sometimes, even when it comes to craftiness. Just a couple days ago, I dug them out and finished them. Hooray! I even added a green felt backing to them.
This is the first time I have worked with plastic canvas, but I have cross-stitched before and this is kind of similar. The kit was made from a company called Uniek. I am not sure if they still make the strawberry coasters kit, but I did see that they offer instructions on how to make watermelon coasters, for those of you who may be interested.
Wiedersehen!
