Last weekend, we went to Ceramic Zone in Willards, MD with our local youth group, The Lutheran Lights. It was awesome! Good pizza, good kids, good crafts.
The kids did mostly Mother's Day Crafts, but we were self-indulgent and did a couple items for the Snicklefritz kitchen.We highly recommend Ceramic Zone! Kim was great!
We worked for about three hours on our projects.
Frau Snicklefritz painted the mug, and Herr Snicklefritz painted the teapot.
Ceramic Zone offers stencils so you can paint a design on your piece. Kim cuts out a sticker, you stick in on your piece, and then you glaze over the top. When you finish, just pick the sticker off and you've got a neat design. It worked like a charm. As you can see, the swallow on the mug turned out really neat! We also wrote our names/initials/the dates on the bottom with special pencils, so we can always remember the good times we had at Ceramic Zone.
