Here's our first featurette on the details of our garden! Meet the peas.
The peas are our most prominent veggies so far, so they are our first focus in this series.
They are Cascadia Sugar Snaps from Ferry-Morse (which we are pretty sure is Lowes' brand).
This morning, we added the poles and twine for them to climb as they grow since their tendrils are already reaching up for something to grab hold of.
We also thinned them out today and Herr Snicklefritz ate a "Pea shoot, hummus, and cheddar wrap" today full of the discarded baby pea plants. (Waste not, want not!) It was delicious.
Herr Snicklefritz, however, is no stranger to murdering peas. Once, in fact, he unknowingly hoed over a whole row of baby peas that he didn't realize were peas, and not, in fact, weeds.
